On the heels of the North American release date for Valkyrie Profile: Covenant of the Plume for the Nintendo DS, Square Enix announced today that PAL territories can expect the game in spring 2009.

Covenant of the Plume revolves around a young soldier named Wylfred who seeks revenge against the Valkyrie Lenneth for using his father as an Einharjar. To make his revenge possible he has allied himself with Hel, the Queen of Niflheim. Hel grants him power in the form of a black feather, a powerful artifact that can launch attacks during battle, but which will also affect the game’s storyline. Individual actions will significantly affect the plot, which will be divided into branching chapters in a “multi-story system.”

Valkyrie Profile: Covenant of the Plume is due out March 17 in North America and sometime this spring in PAL territories.
